Do you have any age restrictions?

Our minimum age is 21 and our maximum age is 75. To drive the 7 seaters, the minimum age is 25. 

How long do I need to have held my driving licence?

You must have held a full driving licence for a minimum of 2 years. If you have any endorsements/disqualifications on your licence, please notify us upon booking in case we are unable to insure you. 

Can I drive on a Non - UK licence?

We can insure all EU/Australian/New Zealand/Canadian/USA licences. If you wish to hire on a Non - UK licence which has been issued by a country not listed, we require a referral with our insurer, please advise before booking as this can take up to 48 hours for approval. 

What documents do I need to hire a vehicle? 

You will need your driving licence, if you are on a UK licence you must have or know your NI number so we can carry out a licence check. You will need to provide x2 proofs of address dated within the last 3 months for example a bill or a bank statement and a credit/debit card. 

Are the Dartford Crossing, Congestion Charge and ULEZ my responsibility?

Yes, it is the hirers responsibility to ensure the Dartford toll charges, Congestion Charges and ULEZ charges, if applicable, are paid. The websites can be found by clicking on the links below. Failure to do so will result in a PCN being issued which will incur a £25-00 administration fee per incident.

What if I want to cancel my hire?

Once a vehicle is booked and a credit/debit card supplied, we do operate a no cancellation policy.

Is breakdown cover included?

No, to keep our prices as low as possible our breakdown cover is optional. We can offer RAC breakdown cover with every hire for a small additional fee. If you choose to decline our breakdown cover, you must have your own cover in place and this must include recovery back to our garage in Chelmsford if the vehicle is unrepairable. 

Do you charge a security deposit?

Yes, security deposits range between £100 - £200. This is refunded back to the card it came from once the vehicle has been returned. We allow one week from the date of return and process refunds on the following Friday. This allows any PCNs, if incurred, a chance to arrive. All refunds are done via a card machine so please allow a couple of days for funds to clear in your account.
